You Son
Don't grieve for me now I'm free; I'm following the path that God has laid you see,
I took his hand when I heard His call, I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day to laugh, to love, to work or play.
Task left undone must stay that way, I found peace at the end of the day.

If my passing has left a void. Then fill it with remembered joys.
A friendship shared, a laugh a kiss, oh yes these things I too will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow,  I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full, I savored much, Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,  Don't lengthen it now with undo grief.

About 3 months before we lost Kenny, he and his cousin (which was his best friend,) heard this song that
you are hearing now. Kenny and Wayne both agreed that if something were to happen to either one of
them that they would make sure that it was played at their funeral. I feel it was as if he knew deep down
that I would cling to it and get through. It has been 4 years since I lost my son and I just could not bring
myself to putting it on his page. But God has given me the strength to do it now. I hope it gives someone
the comfort some day that it has given me since I lost him. The poem below is another thing that really
helped me through.
