Please be aware of the following breeder. We are sharing our story because we are not the first or fifth person that she has done this to. And we feel it is our responsibility to hopefully bring it to the attention of other unsuspecting people. --------- Here is our story. It goes into details as to what happened to us. --- We were going to purchase a show quality dog for $3000 from Dian Lynch of MiDis Maltese. We (Dian & myself) agreed that we (ClaBec Maltese) would pay her over time because she was showing two of his brothers at the same time. We sent the first payment of $1000 and within three months had her paid $2500 of the $3000. I went to visit her and the dog during this three months, and when I get at her home the dog that I was getting stomach was a total mat. ( As was EVERY dog that I picked up. And she had several in coat) She also informed me that he had a luxating patella right after I arrived. I put the dog on the floor to watch him walk and she had an absolute fit. I spent 2 days and nights at her home and only seen him out of his x pen for the a total 10min that I held him. In Dian's dog room she had 9 new born litters. In one of these litters she had a baby that needed additional feedings to be able to thrive and survive. This baby ended up dying because of her lack of compassion and wanting to help him live. Her exact words concerning feeding him at night were " I used to get up and feed the puppies if they needed me to at night. But I am just to old to mess with it now." My daughter and I even asked if we could bring him home with us to try and save him. Dian declined..... There was also a mother of one of the new born litters that had a severe eye infection in both eyes. My daughter found this as she was looking at the puppies. The bacterial infection was so bad that she (the dog) could not open either eye due to the discharge caused by the infection. When she brought it to Dian's attention, she (Dian) acted like she did not care. My daughter cleaned the dog's eyes and got some ointment and put in it in both eye's. To my knowledge, Dian did not check her eyes again while we were there. (The infection was found the evening we arrived.) Dian also tried to give me an older female dog (7 or 8 yrs old) I can't remember exact age. She was going to allow us to use her in our program. Her name is Cricket. I am told that she is in a lot of MiDis Maltese pedigrees. The whole time that we were at her home, the only time I personally seen her go into the dog room was a couple of times a day. In the morning, and in the evening. None of these 9 bitches or older pups were let out of their x-pens except to go out and potty in the morning and evening that I am aware of. She also has a kennel out back that I did not witness her go to and check on the dogs the first time. She has a standard size poodle that is in a cage. He has enough room to stand, turn around, and hold his food and water bowls, but no other room. I did not see him let out of the pen except for maybe 45 minutes at the most a day. He was so territorial of his area I feel because of being caged like this that he acts like he is going to eat most people alive when they walk by him. (Which they have to do if they are going into the actual home from where everyone parks their vehicles.) But when he is out for his short period, he has the most gentle personality. Rhonda (my daughter) loved him so during this time. But was petrified of him when he was in his cage. After thinking about the problem with the dog we were supposed to get's LP Grade 2, we decided it would be in our best interest not to get this dog. When I spoke with Dian Lynch about this and told her that we were not comfortable purchasing a $3000 dog with a known genetic defect, she agreed to give us a puppy that was just born and would be ready the first week of January in his place. This agreement took place in early November 2009. I asked for pictures of this young puppy several times. Dian never sent me any. Then on Dec 11, 2009 I called her to discuss how we were going to handle the contract of this dog. At this time Dian Lynch says that she heard I had been trashing her and that she was not going to give me the dog. ( Dian knows that I do not run gossip. That if I do not have proof of something, I do not talk about it. I reminded her of this fact.) At this point in December 2009 we had paid her $2500 plus purchased a brand new x-pen that she had us purchase and have shipped to her home to contain the dog with the luxating patella. Dian returned the x-pen only AFTER we went public with our story. We sent Dian Lynch a registered letter that she refused. It came back to us a month later. We also started sending Dian Lynch email's with this letter inserted. After the second email she blocked our email address's. So for 6 more days we created different email addresses so we could send the email's. We did this so we would have proof that we tried to contact her about the situation. We also called both her numbers during the 8 days and she avoided every call. So we left a message. I have times and dates written down for each call also. It is now almost Feb. And she has paid us two hundred dollars ($200) of our money back. And did not bother to send us my x-pen until Jan 25, 2010 when we finally took our story public. Now Dian Lynch and her friends are stalking our every move online. Dian Lynch and Cathy Bailey have gone as far as to contact one of our clients, to the point of harassing them, and trash us. (This person will go to court and testify to this fact we am sure) We were told a few years back that she does this to bully people. But we did not believe it. We should have listened....... ------ Update 02/01/10 When we made the payments to Dian, we used either personal checks or a bank draft except for $700 that we paid in cash. She is now claiming that we only paid $200 in cash. Dian Lynch has had ample opportunity to defend herself as to these charges that were made public on01/27/10. She has not done this yet. It has been over 2 weeks since we went public. To this day we have only received $200 towards the balance of $2500 for the show prospect that we agreed upon, instead of the adult Maltese with the Grade 2 LP. I will be coming back and updating this page if and when Dian makes this right. Or if something else transpires. I hope she can find it in herself to make this wrong right. If she does please know that it WILL be posted here. And in the search engines. ------ Update 02/09/10 We have received payment of $300 from Dian. The total paid now is $500. With a balance of $2000. ------ Update 02/23/10 We have received a payment of $800. The total paid is $1300. Leaving a balance of $1200. ------ Please feel free to copy and paste or post a link on your website if you want to help get the word out about Dian Lynch of MiDis Maltese |
